Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department at LMC provides a complete range of integrated, cost-effective pharmaceutical services for inpatients. These patient-focused services include medication management, safe drug dispensing, pharmaco-therapeutic advice, and improvement of patient care through effective use of pharmacists as leaders in medication management process.

The department consists of a team of pharmacists and technicians who provide broad, inclusive pharmaceutical care to the patients, maintain quality in pharmacy practices and create a safe and healthy environment focused on medication safety. Our clinical pharmacists participate in daily clinical ward rounds and create comprehensive medication therapy plans based on clearly defined therapeutic goals. The main role of the pharmacy team is to maintain a safe, efficient system for medication management and preventing drug-related adverse events.

Dietary Department

LMC’s Dietary Department provides both clinical and food-related services for patients and visitors.

With respect to our clinical services, qualified and registered dietitians assess all inpatients to provide the appropriate nutritional intervention during hospitalization as well as nutritional education upon discharge. Outpatients are also offered a full-body analysis on our Inbody Analyzer as well as personalized diets for weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance, in addition to disease-specific diets for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, renal diseases, and many more.

Our kitchen is HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certified, which ensures that all food items are prepared according to the highest standards and are continuously monitored to maintain quality control. This system covers all aspects of food preparation, including receiving, storage, preparation, hot and cold-holding, as well as serving and collection. Additionally, we make sure to use the freshest and highest quality ingredients from the most reputable suppliers in order to provide healthy, safe, nutritious, and appetizing meals for all patients. In addition to our patient kitchen, our cafeteria (located on the ground floor of the hospital) is open Monday-Saturday from 8:00 am-7:00 pm, and on Sunday from 8:00 am-2:00 pm, offering snacks, beverages, salads, pastries, and hot and cold sandwiches.

In order to maintain our high standard of food service at LMC, we work hard to hire the best and brightest. Our dietary department provides an 8-month internship program for graduate dietitians, where students receive comprehensive training and practical exposure to the different services we offer within our dietary department. LMC Healthy Kitchen

In addition to clinical and outpatient services, our recently-launched meal planning service, LMC Healthy Kitchen, provides calorie-controlled meal plans to clients aiming to improve their diets and lead healthier lifestyles. Our meal plans are provided on a monthly basis, and allow clients to choose from a wide variety of healthy, quality-controlled food options.
